Meet Ashton: A Smol Friend with a Big Heart and Bold Dreams.

Say hello to Ashton (15) and his younger sister Amber (9) — a dynamic sibling duo who recently joined Smol Boss to serve the community together. Whether it’s lending a hand to seniors or spending meaningful time with people with special needs, Ashton and Amber show us that giving back can be fun, purposeful, and something you can do as a family.

Let’s talk about Ashton first!
We first met Ashton in 2023, when he volunteered to help out at a Learning Festival organised by SG Enable. It was a huge event with more than 300 participants, including adults with special needs and members of the public. Ashton jumped right in to support our drop-in craft booth, where visitors got to make a 3D Peranakan house. Even though it was busy and a little chaotic at times, Ashton stayed calm, helpful, and kind, qualities that really stood out to us.

Since then, Ashton has been especially quick to step up whenever there’s a volunteering opportunity — from helping out at Active Aging Centres to supporting people with disabilities. These experiences have shaped the way he sees the world and his future. Inspired by the idea of helping others through business, Ashton now dreams of becoming a business owner, maybe even a franchise owner one day so that he can continue to help out at elderly care centers.

But he’s not just dreaming, he’s already doing.
Right after finishing his PSLE, Ashton launched his own cookie business to “test the market.” It turned out to be a huge success, with over 200 orders in a short time. At just 13, he hand-delivered every box by bus and MRT, making sure his customers got their treats with care.

Not long after, he opened a candy shop in his school, selling rare American treats like Prime, Gushers, and Airheads. Word of his shop spread so fast that even students from other schools started texting him to place orders!
Beyond business, Ashton has a soft spot for animals — especially abandoned cats. He even took on a part-time job at McDonald’s, just so he could buy food to care for them. And after feeding them, he makes sure to clean up the area, keeping the space safe and pleasant for the community.

Ashton reminds us that age doesn’t limit impact. With his compassion, creativity, and drive – he’s not just building businesses, he’s building a better world.
We’re so proud to welcome Ashton and Amber to the Smol Boss family!
