I LOVE doing crafts and selling the things I make. Being a kidspreneur is seriously the best thing ever for me 💖
For our latest Kidspreneur Craft event, I went back to what I do best: making miniature food. But this time, we wanted to try something a bit different. We’ve made mini sundaes before, so we thought, why not switch things up? We made miniature tea keychains instead!

We even had cute little order sheets for customers to “order” their own drinks, just like at a bubble tea shop. They could choose for us to make the drink for them or they could DIY with the materials we gave them. My friends and I worked together to decide the price and we planned our marketing too.

My friends and I worked together to decide the price and we planned our marketing too. We had a whole promo strategy like real business owners. On the big day, we were so excited we could barely sit still.
The booth got super busy. We didn’t even have time for a proper lunch because customers just kept coming. We had so much fun chatting with everyone and some customers even came back for seconds.
My younger brother was amazing at sales. He would talk to the younger kids and show them how to make the keychains while my friends and I worked on the orders. He even convinced some customers to make more than one keychain. Talk about upselling skills.

In just 4 hours, we sold over 150 keychains.
And guess what? We even won the Best Marketing Award and got $10 as a prize.

One big thing I learned is that people love customisation and being part of the process. They enjoy creating something special for themselves. We’re not just selling a product. We are selling an experience, and that’s what makes it so special.
Can’t wait for the next Kidspreneur Craft event. I already have more tiny ideas brewing. We’ll be putting together DIY kits which you can buy online here soon. You can also join us at the next Kids’ Craft Fair for Charity on 14 June — come say hi!
